To agree the Minutes of the meeting of the Board held on 9 March 2021, as a correct record

 

Minutes:

Resolved:  That the Minutes of the meeting of the Board held on 9 March 2021, be approved and signed as a correct record subject to the addition of a record of the attendance of KALC Representatives, Mr Kirby and Mr Parry.

Declarations of interest

Minutes:

For transparency, KCC Cllr McArthur declared that for Minute 6 the report was under her portfolio in her Cabinet Member role at the Council. Furthermore, one of the applications considered was within her ward.

4.

To receive a petition requesting for an introduction of 20 mph speed limit in central Sevenoaks

Minutes:

The Chairman used his discretion and the Lead Petitioner, James Ball, addressed the Board.

Resolved:  That the concerns raised by the petition be evaluated by Officers and a report be brought back to a future meeting of the Board.

To receive a petition requesting parking restrictions in Chipstead High Street at the entrance of The Old Carriageway

Minutes:

The Chairman used his discretion and the Lead Petitioner, David Craik, addressed the Board. The local Members present expressed their support for the petition.  

Resolved:  That the concerns raised by the petition be evaluated by Officers and a report brought back to a future meeting of the Board.

Minutes:

Members considered the responses to and Officer recommendation for, the proposed disabled persons (blue badge) parking bay relating to Park Avenue, Edenbridge.

Resolved:  That

a)    the application for a parking bay for disabled persons (blue badge holders) in East Hill, South Darenth and St Georges Road, Swanley, which did not meet the Kent County Council’s assessment criteria, and will proceed no further, be noted;

b)   the application for parking bays for disabled persons (blue badge holders) in Park Avenue, Edenbridge, which met Kent County Council’s assessment criteria, be noted; and

c)    in the absence of any representations during the informal consultation process, the approval of the application for a parking bay in Park Avenue, Edenbridge and marking of an interim disabled persons (blue badge) parking bay, be noted.

Highways Works Programme 2020/21 pdf icon PDF 536 KB

Minutes:

The Board considered a report which updated them on the identified schemes approve for construction in 2020/21 with the Highway Manager (KCC) giving any relevant updates on the schemes listed. Members ask questions of clarification on the approved schemes.

Action 1: The Highway Manager (KCC) to check if pathway resurfacing was due to take place near Heathwoods Garden, Crescent Garden in St Mary’s, Swanley.

Action 2: That the local KALC representative be advised of the programme date relating to drainage issues at Plymouth Drive, Sevenoaks.

Action 3: That the local KALC representative be advised of the date of the Audit Stage 3 relating to developer funded works at Trinity School, Seal Hollow Road, Sevenoaks.

Following queries from a local member on road safety measures in Marlpit Hill, Edenbridge, it was suggested that an update be given at a future meeting of the Board. 

Resolved:  That the report be noted.
